Hi, I'm Emily! I'm a busy mom of 2, a sourdough lover, barre instructor, and crochet hobbyist. My happy place is in the kitchen cooking, baking and of course eating.
A few years ago I decided I wanted to learn how to make homemade bread, and not just any bread, I wanted to make the beautiful artisan breads you see in bakery windows. So I took a sourdough workshop and loved it. I’ve spent countless hours since then sifting through information and experimenting in the kitchen to find recipes that work with my busy schedule and produce delicious bread that my whole family loves. Over the last three years I’ve been teaching others how to make sourdough bread and have enjoyed sharing in their success. You don’t have to go to culinary school to make amazing artisan bread. Wonderful class! Although there is a lot of information to absorb, you presented in such a relatable, helpful fashion, which was very much appreciated. I enjoyed your tips and recipes, as well as your refreshing laid back attitude toward this skill (that was a huge bonus for us who feel challenged in the kitchen). I left feeling more confident that I could attempt artisan bread making. You're a great instructor! It was a fun night and it's always a bonus to get to learn a new skill. I really wanted to learn how to make sourdough bread but I was so intimidated by it. Luckily, Emily made it so simple and doable! She walked me through every step so well and really broke it down in a way that seemed manageable. She answered all my crazy questions and had so much patience with me. She makes her class in a way that any person can conquer sourdough and make it taste amazing! I just made my first loaf and I feel so proud and accomplished, all through her help!
